The club in 2011 partnered with the Health Volunteers for Africa (HVA), Rotary International and Portnet Corporation and provided free medical treatment to the villagers in Guruve District. A donation of medical Sundries was also made to the various clinics in the district.
Donations
The donations were done to 2 clinics in the district which are Ruyamuro and Bepura clinics. Each clinic recieved the following from HVA;

At Bepura health center, the HVA team provided medical services on 1 October 2011 were the team assisted a total of 425 patients until 1700hrs. The team mostly attended to medical conditions such as arthritis and musculo-skeletal problems which are prevalent in elderly villagers.
At Ruyamuri Clinic, a total of 244 patients were assisted until 1500hrs on 2 October 2011. A host of Village Health Workers (VHWs) were assembled to assis in the proceedings and this helped in relieving pressure on the nursing staff at the clinic.

At Kachuta clinic, the HVA team assisted 37 patients on Saturday 19 November 2011.
At Bakasa Clinic, 444 people received free treatment from the medical team headed by Dr Makhuza and Dr Mabhandi. The most common ailments included musculoskeletal conditions like arthritis amongst the elderly and acute resporatory infections amongst the younger age-groups.
